All positions require you to be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, be able to read, write, and communicate in English or ASL, and pass a background check through DSHS. Check each job description for additional requirements.

Direct Support Professional

Must meet requirements listed above, driver’s license/insurance may be required where applicable. Experience is encouraged but not required.


After training, the applicant will be able to consistently complete required documentation, 
provide supervision, support, and habilitation as outlined in individual support plans and Residential Guidelines, support, guide, and teach basic living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, and medication, as well as facilitate community outings. Successful applicants will be able to work as part of a cohesive team and will always treat the people we support with dignity and respect.

 
 

Lead Direct Support Professional

Must meet requirements listed above as well as have a valid Washington State Driver's License, be able to demonstrate competence, and have adequate experience in the supported living field.

After training, the applicant will be able to consistently complete required documentation, mentor/train Direct Support Professionals, compile information for and participate in individual assessments, provide supervision, support, and habilitation as outlined in individual support plans and Residential Service Guidelines, support, guide, and teach basic living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, and medication, as well as facilitate community outings. Successful applicants will be able to work as part of a cohesive team and will always treat the people we support with dignity and respect.

Program Manager

Must meet requirements listed above as well as have a valid Washington State Driver’s License and have experience in a supervisory position with case management. Degree encouraged, but not required.

 

After training, the applicant will be able to consistently complete required documentation, provide individual case management within assigned case load, write and implement support plans, schedule staff within homes, and communicate and maintain positive relationships with state employees, legal guardians, and families of the people we support. They will also be in charge of interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising Direct Support Professionals. Successful applicants will be able to maintain a positive and cohesive team environment that values the DSPs and the work that they do as well as always treat the people we support with dignity and respect. 

 

House Manager

Must meet requirements listed above as well as have a valid Washington State Driver’s License, and have experience in a supervisory position with case management. Degree encouraged, but not required.

After training, the applicant will be able to consistently complete required documentation, provide individual case management for children within the assigned home, have knowledge of and comply with all licensing requirements, write and implement support plans, schedule staff within homes, and communicate and maintain positive relationships with state employees, legal guardians, and families of the people we support. They will also be in charge of interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising Direct Support Professionals. Successful applicants will be able to maintain a positive and cohesive team environment that values the DSPs and the work that they do as well as always treat the people we support with dignity and respect.
